MY FIRST TIME READING ALICE'S ADVENTURES IN WONDERLAND - and I really liked it. Basically, it was like nonsense + nonsense + EVEN MORE NONSENSE + lots of poetry and singing + nonsense again = wonderland and I find that to be silly and adorable and kind of cute. There were lots of characters that I didn't know about, like, what?? Mock Turtle WHO DAT
My favorite part of ALICE was def 10000% CHESHIRE CAT. I love that riddle-talking-grinning idiot. And also, so little MAD HATTER. I was so confused because he is so prominent in all the #ALICE TALK and only in like two chapters in the book? DID'NT know that.
"We're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."
LOVED the illustrations. LOVED. Liked the ending and adored that it was so short and such a quick read. (LOL I'm in the mood for short books right now.)
(Look out for the "Book Vs. Movie" post coming soon to my blog.) - because I'm definitely going to watch the movie AND the tv mini-series in the next few days.

I wish I had read this book ages ago. I'm so glad I finally got to it because I have always loved the Disney animation version of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. All the craziness and madness was great and I can't wait to read Through the looking Glass. It brought back my love for all of the characters and reminded me why I love this story so much. When I had first watched the animation version I was terrified of the Queen of Hearts and the Cheshire Cat but over time I have grown to love them both.
Favourite Scene:
"I don't want to go among mad people," Alice remarked. "Oh, you can't help that" said the Cat: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."
"How do you know I'm mad?" Said Alice. "You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here."

The first chapter of this book was in our fourth-grade English text book, and there were very cute, colorful pictures with it. When we read this chapter, I was very intrigued by it and wanted to read the whole story as soon as possible, but who knew it would take years for me to be able to read it!?.
I wish I had read this back then; May be I would have loved it, but at this age, it all felt very boring. I honestly just finished this book only for the sake of reading and didn't have a little bit of interest in what was happening.
The additional star is for the first chapter, which I read in the fourth standard.
