This book kind of sucked? I loooved the premise but my goodness the writing did NOT work for me. So much telling with so little showing and so many parts of the development of feelings, relationships, etc were just skipped over.

Adored their love story so much. Definitely hoping my library gets the sequels in.
Very cute and cozy. A bit too slow. Didn't feel wowed or drawn into Nick and I became annoyed with his secret identity keeping. A lot of making out and then "oh no but we can't!" that was frustrating for me. Liked the Black fantasy nerd aspect of it, tho it could have been leaned into a bit more for me.
