Lots to love here, but nothing really blew me away. But, yeah, some awesome horror, awesome art, and just, you know, creepy stuff.

started off kinda weak imo but kept getting better and better. as always, i loved it < 3 some faves were tomio - red turtleneck, dissection-chan, & blackbird

adventurous dark funny mysterious sad tense fast-paced

Very quick read. I didn't like all the stories. One if them was a bit transphobic. Otherwise, a solid book.

A strong 3.7!!

I don't think these short stories pack that much of a punch narratively speaking but it's more of the disturbing concepts and truly innovatively unsettling imagery that did it for me. I'll never forget the beautiful last spread at the end of the Dissection girl story or the sequences in "Wooden Spirit".

I think conceptually the idea of Blackbird was the most disturbing to me by far-self cannabalism mired by murky time. Delightful.

Can't wait to check out Shiver from Ito next.
