As an East Coaster, I learned very little about how the west became a part of Canada.
Everyone should know this part of our history.
This country was founded on colonialism and racism even more than I realized.

A fairly thorough walk through the history of the Metis nation and its battles to be recognized as its own nation, culture and people. Definitely not the history I learned in school!
