***The following rambling notes are for me. They may contain spoilers or no information at all.***
Loved Ford. He was sweet, thoughtful, kind. Amber was good, but her insistence on things being financially even between them because otherwise she didn’t bring anything to the relationship drove me crazy. They’d been best friends for over 25 years and she didn’t think friendship, support, and comfort were worth anything in a relationship? Otherwise they were good together. They actually communicated and Amber did realize she had romantic feeling for her best friend, rather than stubbornly fight it forever. No third act breakup and sweet relationship between them and as a family.

“I love you, Ambs. I loved you when we were eight years old, and I love you still.”
Ahhhh!!! This perfect beautiful book!!! It was full of so many amazing tropes!
•Childhood best friends to lovers
•Mutual pining
•Marriage of convenience
•Hockey Romance
•Single mom
•Neurodivergent hero
•Found Family
And there was no third act breakup!!!

I love this series! This book had just enough romance and humor to make me giddy while reading! I love that this followed Ford, a neurodivergent, and Amber, a single mom. The two made the sweetest pair! Ford was protective, with Amber’s heart condition and of Nolla. Amber was a hard worker that had to depend on Ford for a marriage of convenience.
