What I like most about this book is how relevant the strategies are despite being written thousands of years ago and how it promotes attack mode as the last resort of defence.

Nooit had ik verwacht dit boek te openen, maar toch de stap genomen en ik ben dankbaar voor die dag. Hoewel het niet altijd een even makkelijk boek is en de boodschap soms wat onduidelijk is. Is het boek zelf zeer informatief en zeker wijs op velen waardevolle manieren. Hoewel Sun-Tzu schreef over oud China zijn de technieken zeker toe te passen in deze zeer competitieve moderne wereld waarin het eten of gegeten worden nog geldt. Het boek leert zeker geduldiger te zijn, tactisch jezelf te poseren en zo ook te handelen. Daarbij kan je het boek ook tot jezelf betrekken, discipline en tactisch werken zullen je buiten je professionele leven ook persoonlijk verder helpen. Zeker het lezen waard.

While a lot of the points here are very much about warfare the crossover elements for life cannot be mistaken. Knowing where you are, understanding what has come before and what is ahead is key.
Do not act rashly.
Accountability for ones actions, leading with clarity or more importantly, communicating with clarity.
A worthwhile read and one I would dive back into.
