The science in this gets pretty complicated at times, but the complexity combined with the story's mystery and reveals makes for a terrific read.

With all the science and story, I wasn't expecting to be so enamoured with the character of Lin Yun - the 'real' protagonist. The book does a great job peeling back the layers of her character with a touching conclusion.

It's also nice reading a Liu Cixin book where I can easily keep track of all the important characters.

For someone who knows and understands very little of science, this book was still a great ride filled with tension, family, hope, frailty, and mysteries of the universe.
