interesting read into the mind of Tony Horton

The book is a good read covering several aspects of life and giving Tony's take each. It's interesting to compare where you are to his "laws" for building a life that you love and enjoy.

11 practical laws to rule your life as experienced by P90x's Tony Horton. Many of the advices here can be found throughout numerous other exercise and self help books but The Big Picture links them all together in a light and fun way to help you get off your but and thinking how every law has some impact on the others. Start neglecting one then a domino effect leading down an unhealthy road. Tony's humor helps keep everything flowing and even those who have read there share could use this reminder to keep everything together.

Nothing life-changing or anything, but a fun and interesting read by a guy whose bad humor I enjoy just a little too much during his workouts.

A nice little boost

Just what a needed to working through a little exercise slump. Grateful for some wise, simple words to move forward.

I don't think there is anything life-changing in this book but there is some very simple and solid life advice. It's also nice to hear Tony's story of what helped him go from beach bum to a very successful personal trainer. (I enjoy reading books by people who have built themselves up to become successful). For those who know Tony, they know he's a goofball. He's quick with a corny joke and always seems to have fun. That's one of the reasons I like him and his sense of humor definitely comes through while you're reading. Overall, this is a quick, fun read- especially for those who are already fans of Tony.

Tony is on predictably good form in this book. A thousand cheesy one-liners mixed in with some sage California-tinged wisdom. You may only enjoy this if you're already drinking the P90/P90X kool-aid...
