I have no idea how the hell they're supposed to make this a reasonably enjoyable movie but I'm curious to find out.

Next stop on my Clowes binge is Wilson. A natural extension of Ice Haven’s stylistically different stories that weave together, Wilson utilizes a series of one pagers each with their own style to create one narrative. It’s more cohesive than I thought it was going to be and I really loved a ton of this book. Thematically, it’s very similar to most of Clowes’ other work, but the different approach to each graphic novel is what makes Clowes interesting.

Wilson is a shitty guy to be around but a funny guy to watch. Clowes is a really fun read, always injecting bits of Armageddon and existentialism into questionable characters and daring you to relate/be charmed by them. I liked the single-page episodic nature of the story, made it feel almost like a sitcom, you can practically hear the laugh track. Good stuff. Not Coowes’ greatest, but still funny enough to recommend.

My first Daniel Clowes graphic novel and what a fantastic witty introduction. The character Wilson is completely hysterical individual that I completely fell in love with.

Reminiscent of Harvey Pekar, Wilson is a tragic but satisfying character.
