Two love stories between two couples at a different time and circumstances intertwined in a beautiful way. Goosebumps and tears throughout the last third of the book!

This books is amazing, as are most of Nicholas Sparks' books. My favourite part of them all is how he ends them. However, I think I liked the way the movie put Luke, Sophia and Ira together more then the book. But at the same time I like that there was ALOT more story to their lives in the books. Long story short watch and read the story, there both amazing.

Truely amazing book

I highly recommend this book. Decided to read it before the movie came out. And I am so excited to see how they play it out

It wasn’t too bad.
I don’t have a lot to say to be honest.
Some of it was boring, some of it interesting enough, like the little twist at the end with the auction (that part I hadn’t predicted until Daniel’s painting was presented- I predicted Sophia and Luke would save Ira way early on)

I cried so much reading this book because Iras chapters made me so emotional. just reading about his life and all the life lessons he's learned... wow. I almost feel like something has changed within me and I know that this will be a book I'll always think about. I need to read more books with perspectives from older people because it definitely isn't done often enough - and, yes, I did really like luke and sophias perspectives (by the way, I have zero complaints about their povs), but Iras story affected me the most because he had so much to tell that I feel everyone should get the chance to hear about. overall, I'm just really glad I read this book.

I saw the trailer for the upcoming movie based on this book and thought I better read it before I go see it.
I really enjoyed this book a lot. We get two love stories in one book, one in the past and one in the resent time. There are three POVs, we have Ira who is trapped injured in his car for days by himself. He is seeing his dead wife and therefor recalling their life. Their story how they met, lived and loved. The good times but also the darker times in their marriage. I know some people found Ira’s part a bit boring and didn’t care for it much, but I really loved it. It was so sweet and heartwarming but also heartbreaking. I knew it was coming since his wife is dead in the beginning of the book but it still broke my heart. I might have shed a few tears.
