“There's still no such thing as witches.
But there will be.”

I couldn’t really get into it. I think it might have been the pacing. However, the epilogue was powerful and so beautiful. Great ending.

I found the pacing of this book to be inconsistent and almost put it down a couple times in the first quarter. As the story got rolling it was engaging and unique and fascinating. I enjoyed learning about these characters and am satisfied with the ending. I listened to this book and the narrator’s slight changes to her voice gave each sister a unique voice and I will search out more narrated by her.

This book was equal parts 5 Star and 3 Star quality, and so to settle I've gone an even 4. While this book will stick with me for a long while, it was also one I had to convince myself to pick up time and time again, when the chapters ran on a little too much, or the timeline got a bit fuzzy.

One thing I do adore about this book is that it acknowledged that the womens fight is Every Woman's fight, no matter race, sexuality, or assigned gender at birth, if you call yourself a woman, you have a stake in the battle. The motley crew of main characters reflect this well, and that is one thing I will rant and rave about and use it to recommend this book to everyone who asks.

Very slow-paced, so it took me forever to get through. Beautiful writing, powerful characters. It's about witchcraft, yes, but more than that it's about the perseverance of women.

“The will, the words and the ways”. I truly enjoyed this book and it was every bit as magical and captivating as I hoped it would be. It’s a book that I want more of and would enjoy reading more of the characters story as time passes.
