Nora girl you have done it again ❤️  don’t think I’ll ever have the words to describe what this series means to me. I’ve been rereading this series for around 10 years now, and it has such a big piece of my heart. I’m so glad that the series is continuing, especially with such a beloved character 😭
When I first read this series, I was obsessed with the idea of Renee and Jean being a couple. I knew going into this that it would likely go in a direction towards Jeremy and Jean, but I had some hope that Renee would be the one Jean’s heart belonged to. I understand now that even though they very well could have made each other happy, and they still may be soulmates on some level, it was important for Jean to leave and I’m really excited to see what happens between him and Jeremy.
This series makes me feel crazy and sane at the same time and I think it’s such an important series to exist. Jean’s brainwashing and defending of those who hurt him really reminds me of me two years ago when I first started therapy. God I love these fucking books

I really have no idea what to rate  this. This is unbelievably brutal to read. I didn't think that it could get more graphic and unsettling and disturbing than the first series but I was wrong. At least in the first series you could go pages and pages without reading something horrific but you literally can't get through one page of this without reading something horrific and traumatic on page in detail.

I started this the night big came out in my time zone and I just finished it today because I didn't read this for almost a week. It put me into a reading slump because it is so intense and so emotional and so anxiety inducing. I cannot express the level of anxiety and fear that reading this gave me because I was so terrified of what was going to happen on page.

You can definitely tell that this author has grown up since the first series. The writing is so much better. The word choice is stronger, the writing is more detailed and descriptive. There's so much diversity in this book it's kind of crazy.
