I really enjoyed the layered storytelling that spanned mostly the women in our main character's life (with a couple men involved with the family for additional details). You learn about each woman's life and struggles and it culminates in a really powerful interaction at the end of the novel. The story ends fairly open-ended but I don't mind.

i accidentally deleted my review of this book before posting and im not rewriting it. it was very good, funny and original and built a wonderfully fleshed out family of complex women who hurt each other without meaning to but love each other regardless. could have explored Temi and Ladun's relationship more, but overall a great use of a couple afternoons
