This was not my jam. I loved the donkeys and wish I'd just watched a couple youtube videos on this instead of slogging through this entire book. That said, I bought it for my dad for Christmas because I know he will love it.

You can tell this book was written by a journalist and was originally a column style writing. This story drags and feels aimless up until the very end. Unique story. Inspiring. But wasn’t at all worth my time, just wasn’t my style.

I listen to this as an audible book, which was fortunate. There are kernels of truth. In these stories, the non sequiturs didn’t really matter. They were many moving scenes and moving life situations. Somehow the storyline wove around too many places for me to have deep feelings about those moving scenes in the people’s lives.
