I received an ARC of this novel in exchange for an honest review. This has quickly become one of my favorite series. The Prince's Pea was just as captivating as the others I have read. The characters are well developed; the plot is paced perfectly; the writing flows and instantly transports the reader into the story. I was so happy to read Micah's story and to see things from his perspective. Penelope was a strong, independent, complex, and realistic heroine. It's always fun when characters we've met and love are mentioned, and we encounter quite a few throughout this novel. I loved the depth and focus of family emphasized, as well as the idea that dreams can and do change and we need to be willing to accept those changes and go after those new dreams. I would absolutely recommend this novel and the entire series to anyone who loves fairytale retellings, romance, and absolutely amazing writing.
