The Redemption, previous installment of the Filthy Rich Americans series, was one of my favorites reads of last year so I was quite anticipating this new book.
The Temptation is a sexy, billionaire/fake dating romance with a revenge plot twist. I didn't know what to expect from Vance but I really enjoyed his character in this book. He's fun and hot, but I also enjoyed his vulnerable side. I also liked reading about his growth.
Emery is a badass sweetheart. She's had a difficult past, but I appreciated how strong she is. I loved reading about how she doesn't stop at anything to get what she wants.
Since this is a romance I have to say I enjoyed the chemistry and development between Vance and Emery. So I would definitely recommend this book if you enjoy the tropes.
And now let me rave about daddy Macalister for a sec. He's my favorite character still and I adored him in The Temptation too. Rave over

This might be my first book in this series, but it's given me the kick I needed to start it from the beginning, if for no other reason than I for sure need more Vance in my life. I know Ms. Sloane brings the heart along with the heat and that's very evident here. I think this might be the lightest FRA in tone so I know to expect angst in other books, but I really enjoyed how the relationship between Vance and Emery developed from strangers to unlikely friends and on, especially with a certain aspect taken off the table for the most part. The weave of the unanswered question of what happened to their mutual friend was enough to keep me gripped. I loved how strong Emery was and her skills were exciting to learn about. I couldn't put this down and was heavily invested right to the end. I cannot wait to go back to the start. I volunteered to read and review an early copy of this. All opinions are my own.

I was so surprised to see Vance's story was not as dark and twisted as the previous books. And I'm so glad for that because I loved the way his and Emery's story started and went. I was not expecting to love him so much!
Their story kept my attention the whole time! I devoured it even though I didn't want it to end. I loved that Vance hold his end of the bargain when it comes to his bet with Jillian and Emery also helps him with it. No matter how much he wanted to break it all for Emery. From the very start, they have this intense attraction and explosive chemistry. Everything about them feels so real and believable. I loved it! And I loved that epilogue! I was swooning so hard by the end of this book.

THE TEMPTATION was the sweetest installment of this fantastic series, which I hadn’t been expecting, but thoroughly enjoyed. Vance and Emery were great together; while not as electric as Marist/Royce and Sophia/Macalister, they still had great chemistry. I enjoyed both of them as characters too, especially Emery, who was so badass and intelligent.
I didn’t feel the same frenzied “can’t put it down” feeling I felt with the previous books in the series, especially with THE REDEMPTION (my favorite), and parts of it actually dragged a bit for me, but it was still very entertaining and satisfying. I also adored seeing the continuation of Macalister’s redemption arc and seeing Vance grapple with his guilt and trust issues. Even if I didn’t love this as much as the previous books, Nikki Sloane’s books are still so much fun to read.

This was a flop just like the 4th book in the series! The original trilogy will always be my favourite storyline.

This book was like The Italian Job meets The Bold and the Beautiful, with Emery as Charlize Theron. It was great, full with suspense, distrust, and intrigue. I loved Vance and Emery together, and even if I did guess some twists and turns before they happened, it didn’t make it any less entertaining to read!
