This was a great book, made me want to do more with my life and live everyday more than I am currently, Everyone needs a Rhodes and Aurora in their life. I mean the chemistry and love was so good. I need a Rhodes and want to be like Aurora and just pick up and start over. The best, though I did want more, I felt cheated with not reading about the holidays and sometimes things were just brushed over. Amos was a great character as well as all of the other supporting characters. I just fell into this world and never want to get out

she drones on and on about her last and her mom, mentions peeing a concerning amount of times, and the slow burn is more of a no burn for the first 50%.
also the pet name “buddy” is used non ironically.

“Some days you pick up eagles like they’re chickens, and some days you run screaming away from innocent bats. I like you both ways, angel. All ways.”

What a lovely book. I love Mariana Zapata slow burns she does it perfectly.

The only thing a little weird about the book is Atlas. He’s supposed to be 16 but acts like a 12 year old. Truly a teenager is not hanging around his fathers girlfriend that much. This didn’t take away from the story because I just imagined him as younger. Another weird thing was Tobias’s names for Aurora. First he called her angel because of his mother???? is that not weird, why would you call a girl you like by your mothers name??? Then he started calling her buddy, which is honestly worse.
