Reread 3
This book is one of the few books that make me feel really bad for not having a hot older boyfriend who has a son. Will always be a 5 star read!!
Also, the last 20% had me sobbing. I'm not sure if it was because of my period or it just hit different this time.
********
Zapata did it again!
She always makes slow burn so much fun to read.
I saw A Kulti reference and fangirled because KULTI!!!!
Aurora (the h) has just moved into her new residence when things seem to go wrong. She wasn't supposed to book the place because it was not meant to be placed in the first place but teenagers tend to do mischievous things and I cannot blame Amos.
Aurora is so sweet. She is still dealing with grief years after losing her mom in a terrible way. Having left a relationship that she was not valued she wanders about for a year before she decides to stay at Rhodes' place until she can figure her lofe out. They don't have an easy-going time but after a few meetings, she begins to get under his skin in a slow steady place. She begins to fall in love with where she is staying and the people around her. She is such a bright and extraordinary person and she just spreads her light. She is willing to learn and very helpful when she realizes her friend is going through a rough patch. Always encouraging and is very slow to anger but she does have a people on my sh*t list.
I love that this was in one POV because as a reader I understood how she felt and honestly, while Rhodes POV would have been great, it would have made the book heavier. I will always love a grumpy x sunshine and this is at the top of the list.
I love how the book tackles change and character growth and in a way, it feels more like a diary written by Aurora letting us into her life.
