Alors. J'ai beaucoup de choses à dire.
1/ Ceci est une relecture
J'ai déjà lu toute la saga, mais ma mémoire défaillante et mon amûûûr pour gdcp ont fait que j'ai décidé de tout relire avant de m'attaquer au tome 9. Je redécouvre donc la série un ou deux ans après l'avoir lue, avec un nouvel oeil, puisque j'ai depuis développé un esprit (beaucoup) plus critique.
2/ Je suis beaucoup moins convaincue par les elfes ??
Dans mes souvenirs, je rêvais de vivre dans le monde des elfes, et je voulais faire partie de la bande de sophie. Maintenaaant, j'ai l'impression de rien aimer

I didn’t really know too much going into this, but it follows our MC Sophie, who was raised as a human. Then she finds out she is an elf and goes to live in a secret elf city where she is trained in a magical school and placed with a new family.
I thought the most successful part was the new family she lives with. There were a few reactions that were a little lacking, but I thought that element added a lot of depth to the story as a whole. However, I also thought Sophie was a little too perfect at everything and the plot did feel repetitive at parts (she’s a 13 year old who goes to court like 6 times in one book), but it was a fun read with crushes and making friends and magic just conveniently working perfectly for everyone.

I adored this it gave me the same feeling I had when I read Harry Potter when I was a kid. My heart is so thankful for this. It gives me, also, elves from Lord of the rings but with somewhat of a modern twist

I adore this book and the entire series. I read this for the first time around 2014 - 2015, and just couldn't wait for the next book to come out. I am sad that it is soon coming to an end, but what a journey. I am not one to re read a book or a series, but this one is just so special.

Now I know what all of the fuss is about. This book hooked me from the first chapter and just kept me hooked. I really cared about the characters. Sophie's choices were at times not quite believable but that didn't matter. I wanted her to be happy, to be safe, to have friends. Can't wait to start the next book in the series.
