I was a little worn out of the threat towards the end, but an excellent novel with characters I loved.

This book took me so long to finish but I enjoyed every page. I didn’t know what samantha shannon was doing making a prequel but i should never have doubted her. Not only does this book put so many things in place for priory but also goes to the incredible world she created at a different time to tell new stories that intertwine with the ones we already knew. She truly exceeded my expectations and I hope this isn’t our last voyage into this world, whether we go backwards further in time or forwards. Priory was, in my opinion, a masterpiece but shannon truly improved on the pacing in this book which was my only issue with priory. Now my only issue is how do i go back to reading other books…

Well. Samantha Shannon done it again.
The Priory of the Orange Tree is one of my favorite book for that reason I was naturally over excited about the prequel and I fell just as much for it. I didn't want it to end, that is why I took my time (even tho it was hard to put it down sometimes).
The characters, the world building, e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g !
I just finished and I miss it already.
How 868 pages cannot be enough?
