This book had a good plot, however I didn't finish it. Personally I just couldnt get in to it. Will try picking it up at a later time.

Decent first half to this book. I quite enjoyed the way the story was laid out. I was a bit put off by the fake out that happens about 60% in, it didn't seem necessary and the end result of it could have been handled differently.

The second half of the book just had too many switching motivations and loyalty changes. It really felt like a mess and got fairly difficult to follow. I wasn't entirely pleased with the ending, but I guess it was designed to set up for the next book, though I'm not sure if there was enough here for me to really be interested in continuing this series.

More like 2.5 stars. Plot was a bit too convenient at times. [book: Red Rising] series is similar in scope and much better overall.

LOVED it! It took a while to get started for me, but this is probably due to the fact that I don't read much sci-fi. This is the main reason why I would rate this book 4 instead of 5 stars. Until around 150 pages in, I felt like I was pushing through it. However, I did really end up enjoying the book. I liked the mix between dystopian and sci-fi, I liked the space setting, I loved reading about the snobby rich people, and I loved the romance. The book felt like a trilogy wrapped up into one novel, and I don't necessarily think this was a bad thing. It was fast-paced and really exciting.

SPOILERS HERE:
I was really confused about Donia and Nemesis though. Donia loved Nemesis in a romantic way, but I could never really tell whether Nemesis loved Donia in a romantic or platonic way... I was pretty confused about all that jazz.
adventurous tense fast-paced

One of the most original YA books I have read in a while! Should become an instant classic among YA, in my opinion.

This book was reallllyy good. The plot line was very interesting and the political intrigue was top tier. I loved all the characters and the world building was done very well.

The basis of this book is really interesting and I like that we get to see Nemesis’ battle with her humanity and who she wants to be.

Great read! Can’t wait to get my hands on the next one!
