It was ok. Could’ve been a lot shorter of a book. It’s not that I didn’t like the MC’s, but got bored after about 70% in.

the author sent her PR team who also sent her fans after a reviewer on goodreads here (who has now been shadow-banned) to mass report a 1-star reviewer of an ex-fan because she was "mean." granted, the reviewer shouldn't have tagged the author because it's weird. i get being disappointed by a favorite, i really do. i can only imagine how that is multiplied by doing free marketing labor to promote earlier books. it doesn’t excuse tagging the author, but what ruth stilling, her PR team, and her fans did was far worse and kinda traumatizing so i feel for the ex-fan.

stilling also considers 3-star reviews "getting dragged through the mud" (youtube) 😂 i don't want to read anything anymore from writers who comb through reviews to have people blow smoke up their ass and take criticisms as personal jabs against their character. get that weak drama out of my face.
