Okay I wasn’t a huge fan of accidental pregnancy but it’s been growing on me and starting to become one of my favorite tropes. Ruth did a great job on this trope! I am in love with Archer Moore!
I was so excited for Archer’s book in the first two books and man did he not disappoint. He was the definition of man down bad for his girl! He would do anything for his girl. Which had me SWOONING! I really did enjoy this book and can’t wait to see how the rest of the series goes!

Am I honestly surprised that Ruth has smashed my expectations of another one of her books? Nope!
To say I have been anticipating Archer and Darcy's story is an understatement like no other. I laughed, I cried, I screamed and I swooned... But my heart is so full! 😍
Archer has been pining over Darcy for the past two years, although he knows nothing can come from it. Best friends little sister and coach's step daughter... The odds are stacked against him. She is simply off limits.
Darcy has also recently come out of a long term relationship with a cheating ex and isn't looking for anything other than 'fun'. Enter Archer, resident playboy and someone who could definitely rock Darcy's world. Their chemistry and sexual tension is crazy mad to the point it becomes inevitable for them both. Giving into temptation is easy, but when Darcy thinks their night was a one and done, Archer knows he's in for one heck of a heartbreak... Unless he can somehow convince her to fall in love with him too 👩❤️👨
Ruth can literally do no wrong in the men she writes. I simply dare you not to fall for them... How the MMC's fall first and hard for their women and become absolute simps. I ATE THAT UP! Seriously, nothing gets me more than straight up cheese and I am here asking for more!
Archer was literally the G.O.A.T in the simp department. If I thought the Morgan men were down bad for their women, Archer was simply on another level. The way he adored, cherished and worshipped Darcy... Major, major swoon! 🫠 I loved his character growth in this and how he was determined to prove that his playboy days were long over. Darcy was the real deal... Not a fling but someone he truly wanted.
Darcy was that one girl who I must say was naive at first, but also secretly yearning to be loved. She doesn't think any more of her 'fling' with Archer, until he shows up time and time again when she needed him the most. She doesn't think Archer would want to settle down for her, given his playboy status. I loved how Archer threw caution to the wind and showed her who he really was - raw and real and someone just hopelessly in love with her 💗
I seriously can't wait to see what more Ruth brings us in the last and final book in the Blade Kings series. I cannot fathom how bittersweet it's gonna be... But with a possible (?) Redemption arc on the horizon? COUNT ME IN!! 🙋🏻♀️

Let me start this by saying you need to read the entire series before you pick this one up. There’s so many cameos and backstory to characters that I think is necessary to fully love the story. With that said this book was a fun read (per usual).
Archer is so into Darcy, and I loved how intense and sweet he was with her. The accidental pregnancy was handled really well, it added depth without taking away from the fun.
My only small complaint? I wasn’t a fan of the pet name he used for her. But aside from that, I really enjoyed their story!
I also loved seeing cameos from the Seattle Scorpion crew. This series just keeps getting better, and I can’t wait for Book 4!

This book was the absolute best! Goalies are really a different breed and Archer is no different.
Darcy just moved and after getting out of a shitty relationship she is looking for some fun. But the moment Archer arrives in the picture that is thrown out of the window. Archer is a playboy but the moment he lays eyes on Darcy he is hooked. He wants her even though she is his best friend and team mates sister.
Archer is an absolute delight I loved him so much. Ruth knows goalies are unhinged and Archer was not an exception. He really showed up for Darcy in the moment she needed it and it was beautiful. Darcy is a very stubborn woman and she knows she doesn’t need a man to tell her what to do. But her being together with Archer and letting him in was the best thing.
If you are looking for a steamy, best friends sister, secret relationship sport romance this one is for you!

Absolutely adored every moment of this book!
I’d been counting down the days for Archer’s story, and Ruth completely delivered with this gem.
Archer Moore, the goalie for the New York Blades, has it bad for Darcy, his teammate’s sister and his coach’s stepdaughter. Yeah, talk about complicated. He’s joked around in the past about dating Darcy, thanks to his former playboy rep, so Jack never really took him seriously. But what Jack doesn’t realize is that Archer’s feelings are very real and they run deep.
Then comes Darcy’s birthday. One spark, one night, and suddenly, it’s not just a one-time thing, it’s an arrangement. But when Darcy starts feeling off and a second doctor visit confirms she’s pregnant, everything changes. Now the big questions are: how will Archer handle the news, and can Jack deal with his teammate, and friend, becoming the father of his sister’s baby?
Ruth’s writing is simply phenomenal. What she’s achieved in just over a year since her debut is nothing short of amazing. Already can’t wait for Tommy’s book!
