With all the news lately about children being left in hot cars and dying, this book came at an interesting time, to say the least. There were multiple plots going on but they were easy to follow; the characters were likeable; and as always, I was anxious to get to the end of the book to see how it all turned out!

A great book to get one thinking about accidents really do happen to everyone. Nobody is exempt from tragedy.

Hot topic in the news today with hot car deaths. This books grabs you from page 1.

A bit formulaic but it will tug at your heart.

I heard from many people this was their favorite Heather book. I have never read a book with a social worker FMC, but I do not think this was totally full on social work. There was a way to go through out the story knowing Ellen wanted to help people inside and outside her private life, but she had to end up finding a way outside her job to do that. When life hits the fan and your life gets flipped upside down all you can do is hope. I got the thriller aspect out of this story, but Heather wrote this at least to me as a book about hope and love. I truly just loved this book.

This story was terrifying for me, and I would imagine that anybody who is a parent will have a hard time reading this for "pleasure". It's extremely topical (locked a baby in a car on accident), and it takes an interesting look at how we perceive people. I felt that the dialogue was forced in a lot of places, very formal and lacking contractions, but the descriptions and narration was mostly great. A quick read, and one that will definitely stay with you long after finishing it.

This was a pretty good book. Unfortunately I did find myself skipping around a little. For most of the book it was a very quick read, but then right in the middle it started to slow down and get a tad bit boring. But over all it tied up nicely and I enjoyed it. I am interested in some of the author's other books and will be looking into reading them. I liked her style and didn't come into contact of anything overly annoying.

I recommend it.

Loved the social worker, foster element of this story. It was easy for me to relate to a busy working mom that was able to "forget" something very important.
