This was a cute, easy read. Enemies to lovers/fake dating/kind of a marriage of convenience?

Emmett and Avery had fun, fiery chemistry. I loved that Avery was super independent and loved how she was the one who solved the end conflict in a way that didn’t cause her to give up her dreams for a man. Emmett was also a super green flag MMC imo.

My only complaint is that the book felt a little too light. I would’ve loved more insight into WHY each of them ended up falling for the other. It kind of went from her hating him to them hooking up and suddenly they were obsessed with each other. I would’ve loved to see more examples of why she ended up changing her mind about him, or seeing how they were starting to fall for each other.

But I started reading this because I initially started reading another romcom that was a little too heavy for me and I wanted something easy, breezy, and light, and this was definitely that! A great summer/beach read. Lots of fluff and spice.
