Not my favourite in the series but I don't hate it.

Again the whole 'pretend lovers' trope is not high on my list, mainly because I'm always anxious to know, how do you get out of the lie unscathed.  The plot went by very fast,
the jump from enemies to lovers to engaged then married is CRAAAZYYYY and it doesn'tmake sense like how does NO ONE NOTICE??!
it ruined the illusion of a fiction but I pushed through it.

While the progression of their relationship made no real sense; it started as dating and then Emmett kept conning Avery into getting engaged and then a wedding all because he was afraid to tell her he had a crush on her lol but I do love that they got married and discovered that they had real feelings for each other and they just went along with it and never really admitted to anyone that they were fake dating all along. I always dread the part of the story where everyone finds out they were fake dating and are super disappointed in them. Emmett and Avery's dynamic was cute and I love how they bickered back and forth.

This book was a fun lighthearted story that had me laughing out loud! I loved the chemistry between Emett and Avery and especially the banter between them. This book felt a little rushed and there were places I would have liked the story to develop more but overall it was a lot of fun!

4.5 ⭐️ this was adorable! The spice was spicy and the comedy was on point. A little bit of a slow start though.

DID NOT FINISH: 44%

The story was too fast paced for the fake dating and marriage of convenience tropes to work for me

cute but i’ll admit it’s hard to suspend my disbelief when the FMC talks about how much she loves working in the restaurant industry

thank god i finally decided ive put this series off for too long. this book is almost TOO cute for its own good truly, i cant wait to read the rest of the Rhodes boys stories
