I had a rough slow start with it and I honestly couldn't stand Avery in the beginning. She was so judgmental and a hypocrite towards Emmet. I literally had to force myself to continue reading. Luckily it got better and you know what I lowkey even liked her in the end.

I liked Emmet. He was charming and amusing and just great.

There was no misunderstanding/miscommunication between the MCs, no 3rd act breakup, fake marriage trope, enemies to lovers. Spice/smut was really great.

This was one of February’s book club picks, and I have had several BookTok girlies recommend it to me. And I ate it up! If you like banter, fake dating, and prank wars, this was adorable and funny!
