The only reason it isn’t five stars is I felt like the ending was rushed. There was a huge ending and then Sparks very quickly tied the bow. But otherwise it was a very thrilling book! I really enjoyed it!

ok this is the most thriller of any Nicholas Sparks book and it did have me on the edge of my seat wondering who was after her

the romance was cute but sometimes I felt like the protectiveness was too much?? (though it was good character building that we learned exactly why he was this way)

I will say I was more invested in solving the crime than the romance

I love Nicholas Sparks. This was a great book.  Interesting twist and great ending.

Skipped over 100 pages and went to the last few chapters. The book was unnecessarily long.

It took me a little while to fully immerse myself in the story, but once I got into it, I was hooked until the end. I've been an avid Nicholas Sparks reader since middle school, and I know that a lot of his books have some sort of suspense in them, but I feel like this particular one has enough suspense and thrill to outweigh the romance, and I kind of loved that switch-up.
