Gostei. Passei por várias fases, durante a leitura, do tipo "não consigo parar de ler" ou "esta treta nunca mais acaba" mas no geral foi um livro que me agradou bastante.

I normally love Nicholas Sparks' novels, but this one was too slow, and didn't get going until about halfway through. The characters were just too perfectly perfect (Maria was the beautiful hispanic lawyer, and Colin the perfectly bad-guy boyfriend. Lily was just not "real" as far as I was concerned), but then maybe I'm jealous of perfection. I like to be able to relate to the characters just a little bit.

Once the story really got started, the book was okay, but definitely not in the same vein as The Lucky One or Nights in Rodanthe, both of which I liked better than even Message in a Bottle.

I'm glad I read the book, but it will go into the Goodwill box.

Nicholas Sparks never fails to deliver! Another novel to add to his greats. It had a similar feel as The Guardian with the same intrigue and suspense. I enjoyed this novel and look forward to a movie of this

His books knows how to ignite sparks inside my heart. I've always wanted to read this kinda intense love. I almost thought I couldn't read any love story like noah and ellie in "The Notebook" this one definitely proved me wrong. It's a marvellous one. Colin is undoubtedly the cherished character. He has a really bad past, he has accepted it and tried to move on. Rather than continuing his past behaviour. He loved maria so intensely that it set me on fire. He helped her till the very end. It totally set me on fire. Their love and the mystery too shook me to the core. My heart just stopped while I was reading the climax. It was a wonderful journey with maria and colin. From reading habits, I've learned more about mental health. From this one, I learned about ADHD, dyslexia and I'm really grateful for it. Ken is the most irritating character. He's such an idiotic man. Not leaving a single girl in his firm, Harrasing everyone. I wish he had been sent to prison but was disappointed.

Something felt missing, and I didn't quite get the main characters and therefore grow attached to them, but it was captivating.
