Okay so I appreciate when the author wants to do the voice for the audiobook version of their book, but that doesn't mean it always works. In this case, Toni Morrison has a voice that sounds like she is constantly whispering. And when I mostly listen to books in the car and on the bus, I need the voice actor to be well articulated so I can actually hear what is going on. And Morrison's voice was barely legible. So maybe I will try again with a physical copy, but this audiobook version was not for me.
Listened to on Libby.
