I don’t want to call this pretentious, but the dialectical choices and constant shift of POVs were just not my thing. The one chapter - if you read it you know - was a saving grace.

some cool quotes and interesting things about life are included, which i enjoyed.
i'm irritated that we didn't get to hear anything about the burial or anything - or nothing, if you will.
darl was my favourite until the end. it makes sense because he was the one who loved her the most, apparently.
often i was confused as to what was being talked about since i don't know tools that were used in the American South in the 30s and i had to stop to translate what was even being said.
overall, i enjoyed the writing style (not as much the confusing South dialect) and the statements about life the book provided, but it was a bit confusing sometimes and did frustrate me a little.

This is my first time experiencing Faulkner, and it's just not for me. The stream of consciousness style is awkward and unenjoyable. Some of the characters are likeable, but not all by any stretch. I think this will be it for me and Faulkner.
