Hmm, better. The stakes were raised a little more, the ending was pretty intense (though seemingly random), and the action was better. Though I felt like a lot of things, especially regarding the prophecies and the major one regarding Rylee's love life, are being pulled out of left field. Shock value doesn't do much when you can't really understand where it's coming from or why. Anyway, I was sad about one character's needless death, and honestly have no flipping idea what's going to happen next. I would say that's a good thing, but...

What was fun and exciting in earlier books has become rote and and boring. Even the structure of individual scenes is predictable, right down to the low-stakes sword fight that cap them off.

I still like the narrators, though, and the ending was really (surprisingly) good. I'll keep listening to these for now.

Action packed. Doesn’t pull any punches. An emotional roller coaster. Does end on cliffhanger, but the series is complete so you can dive into next book.

While I loved this book, I love this series and I love this author, I felt that although I was there for most of the book but I did get a bit bored? I suppose which isn't a good sign really.

It wasn't that the story wasn't interesting, its just the fact that after the 5th book you wonder how much longer is the same things going to happen again and again.

That being said, I was addicted to reading this book in probably a day, and that is probably because she doesn't maybe Rylee do just one dangerous thing no, she does many. And it does cause some confusion but it also helps the story because it helps me know that Rylee isn't some wimpy typical YA special 'tracker' she is also a bad ass, and that is something that a lot of author's do not make their female leads. Bad-asses.
