I read a lot of mystery/thrillers, this one I read in a day. It was ok, nothing that exciting or unexpected happened. I don't understand why it's continously on the best seller lists when there are so many much better mystery books out there. Maybe my expectations were too high before reading. Usually a good mystery will have me reading all the rest of an author's books, but this one was a let down... not horrible, but nothing special.

Reading Laurel's story about what happened to her daughter, Ellie, and getting to know what really happened from Ellie's point of view, was a real eye opener to this things that do happen in our world today. About tragedies splitting families up and the aftermath of emotions from lives crumbling around you. Well written, though fairly predictable, it was a great quick read for me.
