This is a well written, fast read about two outlaw brothers in 1851 America. I wouldn't usually be tempted to pick up a "western" but the dry wit, dark humour and strong vision from the author locked me in!

بیشتر مردم به ترس‌ها و حماقت‌های‌شان زنجیر شده‌اند و جرئت ندارند بی طرفانه قضاوت کنند که مشکل زندگی‌شان چیست. بیشتر آدم‌ها همین‌طور زندگی‌شان را بی هیچ رضایتی ادامه می‌دهند بدون آنکه تلاش کنند تا بفهمند سرچشمه‌ی نارضایتی‌شان کجاست یا بخواهند تغییری در زندگی‌شان ایجاد کنند. سرآخر میمیرند در حالی که هیچ چیز در قلبشان نیست. به جز لجن و خون رقیق کهنه_خون فاسد و بی مایه_ خاطراتشان هم به مفت نمی‌ارزد. بیشتر مردم جدا ابله‌اند.

This gives classic western vibes, which is fun. I enjoyed the main character and getting to see the story through his view.

Definitely entertaining, although I'm not sure it was a story worth telling. This book seems to be centered around character building rather than any events or rising action from a plot. From that perspective I think it was an interesting, though pointless, story or chronology of events simply to get to know the Sisters Brothers, who are also quite pointless characters. Some of the most creative and enjoyable writing I've read in while, all the way to the end. Unfortunately, not a book to really recommend unless westerns somewhat appeal, you've time to kill, and there's nothing better on your to-read list.
