Overall, I think I enjoyed this book. It made me feel uncomfortable. It made me feel mad, and while I'm breeding it, I feel really conflicted like, oh I hate this, but really I enjoy that because that means that the writing is strong and makes me feel for the characters. So I did enjoy it a lot going on a lot of plotting and planning Um, but I think I just kind of get thrown off are confused when we get this plot of a guy who is like holding his wife hostage, I just don't know, or that came front.I don't know like, does that really happen?I mean, i'm sure, but not like this.I don't know

We are following a couple of friends in this neighborhood. The main character she lives with her judge husband and her child and people think that she's agoraphobic, but really it's because she is her husband's prisoner, she is not allowed to leave the house, she's not allowed to do anything, have any money. It's really a sad life. For her right. And she's obviously trying to figure out how she can get out. She has tried to escape a couple times and it never goes well for her. The other women in her neighborhood are nosy and decide that they want to help her, even though they don't really know what's going on. Um, somehow they all connect and become friends and then come up with this plan where they're going to sync her Al and get our way from the husband huh? Um, I don't know. I mean, it's been a couple weeks since I've read this book and I'm already for getting the plot. I mean, I think I know it. I'm just not that excited to share it. But ultimately arming girl, she is able to sneak out at the house and run to the neighbor's house and they are able to pin a recent murder on this judge husband but really it was done by arming girl. ListenThis book is all over the place.I'm losing traction.I'm just gonna stop here

If you are looking for a book where every man is horrible, this is the book for you. I’m all for women getting revenge and working together to right the wrongs men have inflicted on them, but I’m a little tired of men hating in so many books.

This was an ok book. It was nice to see the neighborhood woman working together to get justice. I just disliked many of the characters.

I found this book to be terribly entertaining with many twists and turns as the story progressed. I listened to the audio version and I found the narrator, Imogen Church to be outstanding. She was able to change her voice for the different characters and add nuance where needed.

The story revolves around a neighborhood of upscale homes and the people who live there. Cora, the do-gooder, is always heading up some sort of fundraiser to improve the community. She is married to Finn who is employed by a tech company. They have a teenage daughter Mia. Jane and GRaham had a son Caleb who was accidentally killed by a car in the neighborhood before the book begins. Finally, there is the Kinney family of Lucas and Georgia who have a baby.

The street is anything but quiet although it appears so, superficially. Secrets abound and as the story progresses, truths emerge resulting in some very interesting outcomes. The writing is fast-paced and again, Imogen Church was an excellent narrator.

A great, enjoyable book with the worst audiobook narration I’ve ever listened to.

This felt like a episode of desperate housewives. I enjoyed every minute of this book. I just was hooked from the start. At first I was indifferent about the characters then grew to really care and root for some of them. Especially Cora when she confronts you know who about you know what
