AHHHH.
So... I was a Desperate Housewives girlie by the time I was in 5th grade. My friend Nicole and I would always watch it after school while munching on a big stack of pierogies. Good memories, maybe not so great parental media control. All that to say, this book felt like I was watching the women of Wisteria Lane lie, cheat, steal, and scheme... but turned up to 11. I love these kinds of domestic thrillers (even when they have the cliché "lit up house on the front" book covers). My heart was racing after every chapter. The dialogue was great and felt more natural than a lot of other books I've read recently. The characters are easy to differentiate and are all interesting and seem so real. I really thought I hated Paige, but she pulled through in the second half. There was a lot of character development that the author didn't have to include, but I was so grateful for it! Overall, a completely engrossing story. I've never even heard of this author before, but I'll definitely be checking out more.

Took a while to get going but the last half was so fun
This book was intense! Paige, Cora, Georgia are 3 women who live in the same neighborhood. Their lives become intertwined in a kind of empowering, protective, and hesitantly trusting way. Though each has their own back story, these stories become parts of all 3 of their pasts and present. This is written with such a well thought plot, and even though there are some horrible and sad aspects, the thoughts that Cora has about her husband and his part in all of it, are downright hilarious! I seriously laughed out loud. They are wickedly entertaining and worthy of a highlight, underline and page flag. I’m adding Seraphina Nova Glass other novels to my Wish List!
Aug/Sep book club read- coming from a gal whose go to book is not a thriller, this was SOOO good. Could not put it down. I loved the three women’s perspectives and found each of their stories so intriguing. Maybe I’m a naive reader but I really did not know how this was going to end or really where any of the pieces were headed. The way everything came together in the end was CRAZYYYYY and I found it to be a pretty happy ending for all of the turmoil experienced by everyone in the book.
This was a great thriller about 3 neighbors and their secrets. I found myself not wanting to put the book down. Great read.
