I read this for my husband because these books are his jam and wow. I forget how dramatic the character can be in a piece this old. Like all of them.
While reading it, my husband and I discussed what would a modern version of this look like as a movie, show, or even book. I’d like to see a take that doesn’t have so much on Bessie - Grey should be not only our hero, but also the character we follow throughout the book.
