I’ve never wanted to be a fictional character (Jake) so bad in my life.

Was this book simplistic? Yeah, but that’s the point of it. It’s very feel good hurt/comfort with VERY nice sex. And also VERY active and open communication, which I love in any book.

Anyway, if you wanna be the Cass/Tom to my Jake, hmu.

3.5

This isn’t the type of thing I normally read and I found it a bit hard to suspend my disbelief at the overall premise of the romance in this book, but I did find myself enjoying everything overall.

That being said, I read this book because I was looking for Tourette's or tic disorder representation in books, and I think the representation in this book did a fairly good job! The author's note mentioned that this book was inspired by a relationship the author had with someone who had Tourette's, and I feel that this rang true in terms of execution.

So yeah, 3.5 stars because this is a premise within a genre that I more generally don't have a lot of interest in reading, but overall the execution of this book was well done!
