***I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.***
This was the first book that I have ready by the talented Ivy Fox. This book was sooooo good! I really wasn't sure how I was going to enjoy this book as with any new author I read. It can turn out that I really love the authors writing or it could turn out bad. This was one of the good times!
This book was very dark and addicting. Selene, Dominic, Gio, and Vincent are all apart of this Mafia family and the life they are expected to live and how they are expected to act are shocking throughout the book. Selene is supposed to stay a virgin until she is given away to the highest or best offer her father is made. Yet Dominic, Gio, and Vincent have all been in love with Selene their entire lives.
This was a great story and I really enjoyed reading this. I have not read anything like this and it was refreshing. Ivy Fox definitely has a new follower! If you have not picked up your copy of Rotten Girl, I suggest you go grab your copy.

MOBSTERS <3

Okay, I liked this book BUT I also had so many issues with it as well. First off, I like that it's trying to be a reverse harem.. but it isn't there yet. Plus two of the guys weren't faithful at all.. and the one guy that was didn't even get her freaking V card. So it was like all for nothing. UGH! I was so mad when that happened.. but whatever.

In Rotten Girl you will meet Selene, Vincent, Dom, and Gio. They were four best friends that grew up together while their parents are in this mafia. The guys get into this mob life and sort of distance themselves from Selene.. because she is their weakness. However, it just kind of makes things worse for them all because of the betrayal in this book.

God, so much betrayal. There's also hate, abuse, and death. It also had some scenes of smut or kisses here and there but after that ending - I'm mad. I hate cliffhangers so freaking much and I still haven't decided if I'm intrigued enough to dive into the second book whenever that comes out.

Heart rending and fantastic!

This book was everything I hoped for plus a gallon of mafia charm and devilry. Selena is quite literally the glue that holds the next generation of Syndicate leadership together - and the funny part is that they all know it. Oh, the “adults” (read: people in charge) think the mismatched quartet are just friends as they grew up together, but the four of them know the truth - they will always belong together. They don’t question it... none of them, they just know. Now they just need to figure out a way to make it work because the powers that be will never condone such a grouping, and the harsh realities of the outfit deny any of the youth a choice.

Which brings me to the next point... freedom and choice. None of them have it. Not the youth nor the made men and leaders. They are all owned by the syndicate in one way or another, their fates already written in the stone proclamations of their births. Ivy Fox does a remarkable job of detailing and expressing such feelings, drawing the stark loneliness in vivid shades is grey.

Pros:
- exceptionally well written
- Nice editing
- Emotion pushes this story, not action
- acceptance is not defeat....
- Character growth

Cons:
- Cliffhanger ending
- a bit flowery in some dialogue

This story was SO good! I can't believe how long it's taken me to read it ... I bought it months ago and got busy and now I'm just sitting here kicking myself for not putting this book FIRST.

Ivy Fox gave me everything I could possibly hope for with this book. EVERYTHING! I can't wait to dive into book 2!

I can count in my one hand how many Mafia themed books I love and this bad boy right here is on my top 3 list!

Man oh man! I don't know how I'm gonna deal with myself right now. I'm gutted, bleeding, blubbering mess on the floor for these characters. I can't breathe with the pain, sorrow and helplessness they feel for their doomed love for each other. My heart cried with some notable scenes in this book because of the feels! I tried so hard not to, but Pietro took ahold of my heart. And Ciro...*sighs* I may be in the minority here, but I want him redeemed. Surely, there is more to him than what was let on the story.

The book got the modern day Romeo and Juliet with their star crossed lovers thing going on but with a lot of twist that makes this an amazingly interesting read. This story has a chock full of angst, darkness and steeped in blood befitting the Mafia theme. Hand over heart, I pray that the next book will be released soon.

Don't know where to begin...

I seriously don't even know where to start...this book was dark, beautiful & heart wrenching! It felt like with every chapter my heart broke for Selene, Vincent, Gio & Dom - I felt all of their despair, deep love, hope and hopelessness. They are all good souls born into a rotten world with only their love as a shining beacon. I have to admit that this book made me feel deeply and these characters will stay with me for a long time to come. There are several triggers in this story so be warned but if you're willing to brave it I highly recommend this book. It took me days to get through because I had to walk away & get my head on straight several times but I have no regrets and you won't either.

I did not like this. But I felt giving it 2 stars was mean so here we are with a 3. I HATED Selene. She was immature and dumb the entire time. Oblivious to pretty much everything going on around her. The time jumps starting from them at 13 meant we didn’t get a very good glimpse into what was going on and it meant I had zero care or interest in any of the guys. Honestly she got the most screen time with Pietro who wasn’t even one of her guys. Part of me gets the whole wanting to follow your heart no matter the cost sentiment but the majority of my opinion is that she should just stop complaining and whining and take the decently good option available to her because it would be better than the situation she was in now. Also Selene and Vincent were absolutely idiotic at the end. Way to completely throw away sanity and pretty much say fuck it and put her life at risk, and for what?! I also thought the RH aspect was off in this. It seemed like everyone was just in love with her but had no interest in sharing more like they were just waiting until she was 18 to try and win her for themselves. I might speed read book 2 just to see what happens.

Whew

Where do I even start? This book immediately took me and didn’t let go. I love that the author showed us different points of view from different ages. I love that this book gave me every emotion possible. Reading the story, I thought maybe Selene could even love Pietro and even Ciro like she loved the others. THEN BAM! I was not excepting either of those twists. At the beginning and even midway through the book, I liked Ciro (maybe even more than the others) thinking he was just the black sheep or even just misjudged and was hoping maybe they could find love with one another. I liked Pietro and how he was always around, making comments on his attraction to her and then helping her get out of the house. Then everything just shifted and he was nothing sketchy. I was very sad about what happened. Hopefully, in the second book, Selene and the boys get a better life. They definitely deserve it. I would 100% recommend this book to anyone!
