I read Black Beauty in elementary school and loved it. I had always loved horses so it was the perfect book for me at the time. I loved the adventure in the book and I highly recommend reading it.

Can't believe I haven't read this book before. Loved hearing about a horse's life as told by the horse. I love horses and while they are born with their own temperaments they long to please us. As Black Beauty attested, how we treat them affects everything about their lives.
