Het was fijn om in Warners hoofd te kunnen kijken, maar ik vind niet dat het geven van een paar miezerige verklaringen al zijn verwerpelijke gedrag oké maakt. Ik vond vooral de scène die we ook vanuit Juliette perspectief gelezen hebben leuk, want dan zie je echt de twee kanten van het verhaal. Maar alsnog is Warner zo druk bezig met zielig doen omdat zijn vader evil is, dat hij niet inziet dat hij best wel op z'n pa lijkt.

I hate that I understand him and like him more than I did in the first book. That poor boy, his father destroyed me from the inside out. And he just wants to be understood and accepted by someone and he chose her. I also really like the pieces from her journal in this book as well.
