There was a moment, a time when I thought -- this is it. I'm going to die ... and in that moment I kept getting flashes ... little thoughts, popping up through the darkness. Thoughts of you.

This is one of the best written superhero comicbook out there, even with the cheesy romantic lines

This is one of many reasons I like this series, the well written dialogue that does not bore you and still deliver outstanding story. Also how the story is crafted (the extras at the back has scripts by Kirkman) like I mentioned in my review for the previous volume the tiny parts of a scene can be a start of a domino effect. The time traveling characters from the previous volume was indeed trying to save the future which was presented here. Now another scene presented itself as a start of a domino effect in the next issues. Part of me regret stopping this series years ago but I am glad there's collected editions to be read. I am looking forward to reading the next collections/volumes.

And as usual the consistency of the art, I prefer this than the other superhero books I am currently into. Where after a few issue another artist will take over, someone with totally different art style. For me it kind of kills the narrative.

The book is a great read, with its philosophical flavor on the good and bad, being a superhero, love, trust, family. Great characterization and narrative set this title as one of the best out there
