It started out strange and slow for me but ended on a high note!

I can't say I've ever had the displeasure of reading a bad work from Stephen King, and at this point I don't think I ever will. I loved this little story. I loved how sweet it was and how it touched on the prejudice experienced by the LGBTQ+ community—specifically lesbians this time. I loved the simplicity of it. Most of all, I loved the characters and how much they loved each other. I relate a lot to Deirdre McComb, so it was especially touching to see how she evolved over the course of this novella.

Honestly I just love Stephen King and his storytelling abilities. This man could write my eulogy and even death wouldn't stop me from finding a way to read it.

I thought 'Elevation' was an interesting short story, and I enjoyed reading it. I don't really have much else to say about it.

I LOVED this little book. It’s one of the fastest times I’ve fallen in love with the characters of a book. The sci-fi is memorable and creative, the social themes are spot on and bring a load to the story. With a ending that I at least throughly enjoyed. Even though the books very small the characters arcs are still beautiful and my only complaint is it wasn’t a 600 page book. It’s weird for me to say after 4 other Stephen King books this is my favorite and it’s not even horror but it’s true. I’m going to treasure this book a very long time. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Was hoping this would be more fulfilling, but the concept is just too similar to me as Thinner by Richard Bachman (Stephen King)… I mean, I know its different overall, but I was looking for more originality. I guess it’s my fault for never reading the description before reading a book

I've been a Stephen King fan my whole life, but this book was just... bland. Bland, inoffensive stock characters. Bland, inoffensive storyline. I've read more compelling stories in an introductory creative writing course. Never before have I finished a book and had such a sense of "meh." I rated it two stars instead of one because there wasn't even anything to actively hate about it.
