Jacq continues his telling of Egyptian history of Ramses II and Moses - this is the 2nd of 5 - it is pretty average with nothing to make it overtly memorable though.

I've attempted to read this a few times trying both the physical book and the audiobook, but it just hadn't clicked. This time I just picked it up and ta-dah! flew through it.

I love this series! This book is not as exciting as the first. The action is more drawn out and it is made up of buildup for the next book than any really big plot happenings. I expect a lot to happen in the next book, especially with Moses and the Hittites.

3,5 stars rounded up to 4.

It had a slow start but it got much better in the second half. I am not fond of any of the characters but I like the political maneuvers and the inclusion of religious disagreements.
