Amazing start for the Eddie Flynn Series. It was action-packed, twisty, and full of legal adventures.

I am amazed about the description playing around with being a con-artist and a lawyer, because that one is relatable and that is close to reality. As a struggling lawyer, Eddie Flynn has a lot more at stake whether he chose to fight and let go of the case.

I know for sure I will grab the next book in this series.

Entretenido.

Cavanagh is becoming a favorite! Started with Twisted which I picked up in Dublin airport knowing nothing about this author! Loved it.... selected for book club.. and now starting from the beginning... really enjoyed The Cross and am now ready for the next!

I have read Fifty Fifty from the same series and was HOOKED on that book and loved every moment, twist and turn. Cue me wanting to read the whole series from the beginning and ugh was this one a disappointment. I can’t put my finger on exactly why it felt so slow but I really struggled to get into the story and be grabbed by the mystery all the way through. There were a couple of excellent “gasp” moments limited to being inside the courtroom itself where Cavanagh’s writing absolutely excels but even these were left to fall flat without carrying the story through the way they could have. I ended the book feeling a bit nonplussed and frustrated. Nevertheless I will still pick up the next one knowing this is the prequel 0.5 and I should give the first “full” book the benefit of the doubt and the memory of Fifty Fifty that was *so* good.

You can imagine my shock when I discovered that I had missed a book from the Steve Cavanagh backlog so this was an instant read for October

bro first book i finished IN A MONTH 😭😭 it was cute it was a fun little thing but it was way too short for me, it felt like it was over before it really got going. and yeah, it's just a novella, but the case itself was very interesting and definitely on the same level as the cases in the full-length books, so i was kinda sad that it was so short
