I hate that it is advertised as one. It is a story of domestic abuse and the violence cycle. It is actually based on a real life story, as explained by the author in a note at the end. If you go in expecting romance like the rest of CoHo books you are possibly going to feel frustrated and disappointed. Wish I had read it with this in mind, so I didn't have different expectations.

Overall a good read. It definitely exposes the reality of domestic violence and how it can affect anyone.
I only wish it would have less of the sexual content ONLY because I wish it could be used in a high school setting. I think it's important to show teenagers the dangers of toxic relationships. The sexual content makes the novel inappropriate for a school setting.
