I get it the hype about this book now. and oh boy, what an emotional whirlwind. The way the characters were written allowed me to feel the layers of anger and sympathy and love that Lily experienced vividly, and I don’t really cry when reading but this one is a different story. I got so angry and nervous for what decisions Lily would make, and I am so happy with the way it ended. Atlas is just

(3.5) I get why this book is so beloved, but I just find Colleen Hoover’s writing style to be a little bit cheesy. This is the third book of hers that I’ve read and I definitely think it’s the best one of the three. I think her books are good for reading on vacation by the pool, but I don’t think she’s going to become a new favorite author of mine.

I wish authors who took on the task of handling serious topics used them not as plot devices.

The way she handled DV and marital rape hurts me because I know someone very close to me who suffered very much and Coleen’s mishandling of it felt like a misrepresentation and mishandling of all that my loved one went through.

Knew how the book would turn out but still had to wait till the end, why do I read these again

Trauma dumping to Ellen Degeneres is crazy

Phenomenal. A book that I think every woman should read!
