This was an impressive and detailed recollection of the Press for Change campaign and the events that lead up to the Gender Recognition Act 2004. I am reading them out of order (there is Volume 1); but, apart from details of law and policy before the act and how trans people went about life during those times, I found it a particularly good piece of writing to reflect on the situation of trans rights today. Would recommend to anyone interested in British trans history.
