This is the highest I’ve rated a romance book in a long time, but it felt more realistic than many I’ve read. Definitely will read again.

It’s not a bad book, just very slow. With dual romances and family drama, the more serious topics (depression, body issues, mental health care, step parents etc.) are brushed over and the romances seem almost rushed throughout. It gave me “Set it up” vibes (the Lucy Liu movie) more than Parent Trap but still.. okay, but quickly forgettable.

I loved the Parent Trap/Set It Up aspect of this book, but mostly loved and appreciated the depression and anxiety representation as well as positive depictions of therapy <3
