Though I enjoyed riding along with the heroine of the book (Callie), the secondary characters made the book for me. From her wacky tattooed septuagenarian neighbor to the men of firehouse 10 to her two best girlfriends (one of whom is pretty much me), these characters were so much fun to "spend time with" that I didn't want the ride to end. Callie became like a friend or sister to me during the book, and I will freely admit to saying "Really?! You're doing that?! Are you out of your *%#*% mind?!" aloud (on a train- oops) just like I would to one of my besties.

If you're looking for a fun hot read with humor, heart, and a HEA, this book is for you.

Free on KU, plus a bonus chapter from a different character's perspective if you email the author. How sweet is that?

4.5 stars.

Great read

I loved this book. I was not expecting some of the turns that it took and the way the story stars Ted to change halfway through. I’m hoping there will be more books in this series soon!

I really enjoyed this book. There are the perfect amount of twists in here to keep you involved with all the characters in here. The narration in here is great. I am able to tell who is who throughout with no confusion.
I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

If I could give the book zero stars I would!

One of the worst books I ever read and I read a lot of books.

The first half of the book Callie is dating Chase , a total manwhore and a huge jerk and then she meet another firemen named Ash that really should have got a better ending.

I couldn't stand any of the charcters except Kiki, Calie's neighbor.

This book felt like a really bad soap opera , so much drama, so much lies and dishonesty and Callie's friends were all mean , selfish and acted like teenagers.

The book wasn’t what I expected at first. I loved the second half of the book with Ash and Callie. The book would’ve been better if half of it didn’t cover Chase and Callies relationship when it really didn’t matter in the end. I think I would’ve enjoyed the book more if that was the case.

Lack of character connection

I wanted to stop reading this book so many times. It was hard to keep interest in it. I feel there was a lack of character depth. You couldn't get attached to the characters personalities. And other than the guys eye color and tattoos you didn't know much about them.

This is my first Kacey Shea book, but I doubt it will be my last! She writes with such clarity of character and emotion of each character! I love the characters in this book! Callie, Kiki, and Ash are so real and relatable.. so lovable as well. The characters of Chase and Tiff are well developed too... although not so lovable! I didn’t like either of them from the beginning! Go listen! It’s very well worth the credit.

Savannah Peachwood does a great job with both the characters and the emotion of this book!! I love listening to her!
